Sustainable electromobility: 
The robust, reliable Ion charging station from OBO

One trend that goes hand in hand with increasing awareness for sustainability is electromobility. Besides many areas of our daily lives, this trend is also changing the electrical infrastructure. This is accompanied by a growing demand for EV charging stations in both the private and commercial sectors. OBO is placing an ever-growing focus on future-oriented industries, also offering a reliable and safe solution for the area of electromobility: the Ion charging station family. 

The Ion charging station can be used to charge electric vehicles at single-family homes, terraced houses and multi-occupancy dwellings, as well as to charge fleet vehicles. It is prewired, features an extremely impact-resistant housing according to IK08 and, with a protection rating of IP66, can be used both indoors and outdoors.

The OBO Ion charging station family

The OBO solution to get started with electromobility is available in four different variants:

  • Ion Basic charging station
  • Ion Key charging station
  • Ion Basic Protect charging station
  • Ion Key Protect charging station

The Ion charging station is available with a key or a highly practical pressure switch. In easily accessible car parks, the use of the “Key” variants with key switches is recommended. The Protect variants of the Ion charging station also feature integrated surge protection (for power and data technology) and are suitable for applications with cable lengths over 10 m. 
All variants can be used up to a charging power of 22 kW.

Optionally, a weather protection roof is available as an accessory, providing extra protection against strong sunlight and snow.

PV-optimised charging

Super practical: The Ion charging station also provides multiple possibilities for PV-optimised charging. The stations are suitable for PV charging without control, static PV excess-current charging via release signal or for dynamic PV excess-current charging via an external EMS/RTU.
