OBO presents its completely overhauled universal lever terminal block. Both the housing and the levers are made of halogen-free material and feature a UV stabiliser. The inner workings of the terminal are made from a single piece, which offers benefits during installation. Ribs on the side ensure a better hold during installation. The terminals can be fastened to brackets or supports through a bevel below the terminal connections.

The universal lever terminal blocks are available in three sizes for 2, 3 or 5 terminal connections. With a large nominal cross-section of up to 4 mm2 the terminals can be used both for rigid and flexible conductors. As the levers are designed to be much wider than before, they are also easier to install. Another benefit: The levers are opened against the insertion direction of the conductors, which prevents accidental opening of the adjacent lever during insertion.

Technical details of the universal lever terminal blocks at a glance:

·         UL-certified according to UL 486 C

·         Stripped length 11–12 mm

·         Flammability: housing Class V2, lever Class V0

·         Nominal voltage 450 V according to IEC 60998

·         Nominal current 32 A according to IEC 60998

Connection of flexible or rigid electrical conductors

The screwless lever terminal blocks are one of the most common terminals in electrical installations, used to connect flexible or rigid conductors. For electrical conductors, it isn’t necessary to open the lever, as they can be inserted directly into the terminal. With the OBO universal lever terminal blocks, black levers meet a slightly translucent housing, which makes it easier to find the test hole.
